I apologize for missing last week’s update. My laptop died unfortunately. It took about a week to recover and have a new one delivered. All is right again! Fortunately, I have all my digital patterns backed up on my Google Drive. So none were lost. Something that I am most grateful for.

Let’s get on with the show!

Starts

I have one new start. It is the Sea Witch by Nora Corbett. One of the reasons why I got this pattern is because it is smaller than my Mirabilia which is 200 stitches wide. It felt like moving to this pixie project was a good idea. Not only is it smaller, it also only requires DMC and beads. I want to do a few of these smaller pieces and work my way up to the Mirabilia. Next, I’ll try a pixie that requires krenik and/or watter lillies.

WIPs

Black Wing haberdashery

This is a piece that I’m doing as part of the Sitchy SAL in the Catkin and Lillie Patreon community. I finished the left bird and now only have to do its mirrior image on the right. It was those birds that drew me to this project. I am going to finish this whole project by the end of December.

The bird is the word.

This is how the project is looking so far.

Dragons: A Field Guide

I’ve wanted to get back to this one for awhile. My goal is to get this first dragon completed by the end of November. It is mostly block stitching. So, it should go quickly. I love the fabric for this one. The colors look muted but it was worth that risk.

Tea Reading Frog

This is the project that is worked on while I hang out with my Mom. I managed to get his little froggy hands done this week. Now, it is mostly tea cup before we move the frame to get the steam.

Plans

I don’t have a focus right now. There is a part of me that feels like I should finish my Floral Dragon Meadow SAL. But, it also feels good to work on some of my older projects. The best thing is to do what makes me happy. For now, I think that means working on projects that I’m feelign attracted too. Right now, that is the Sea Witch. I will swap out Dragons: A Field Guide when I completed the dragon that I’m working on now. Then I think that I will move on to my Doctor Who cross stitch.
