I am pretty happy with the choice to post every two weeks. It means there are a few more projects to share with you. Though, I am much more monogamous than last year. I have moved to the idea of goal oriented stitching. I look at my patterns and chose a section to work on. I move on when it is completed. It is helping me chose which projects to work on. And I worry less about time and more about finishing what I want to work on.

Starts

The big news is that I have my first start of the New Year. Which also happens to be my birthday start! I ended up going through all my patterns digital and paper. And, I didn’t find one that was calling to me. I ended up going for a pattern that I saw in Just Cross Stitch Magazine - Summer 2025 edition. I get access to these issues through my library. The pattern is called Blueberry Harvest and it is by Jessica Dize (Jed X Stitch). I’ve gotten pretty far and may finish by the end of the month.

WIPs

I have two projects that I’ve worked on this month.

Alice in Wonderland SAL

I completed another section on my Owlforest Emboridery SAL. This time it was Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole. It is really only half finished but that was the end of the section that I was working on. The next section has the bottle and the door at the bottom of the hole. But, that is the next section and I will work on it another time. I’m only showing the section that I just completed. The whole piece is huge and it would be hard to see otherwise.

Sea Witch

I also worked on Sea Witch this month which is my fancy lady. I’m working on it as part of the monthly theme at the Catkin and Lillie Patreon Community. I’ve abondoned it to work on my birthday start. Which,as I’ve said, I want to see if I can finish by the end of the month. I did add a good chunk to this project though. I think it is time to move the hoop to work on the tentacles on the bottom. I was going up the center but that is mostly done. It is time to work on the sides.

Plans

Continue to work on my birthday start until the end of the month. Then in March, I’m going to work on the gift for my best friend. That gives me two months to finish something that ia about 8,000 stitches. And I can do 6,000 in a month. I should be able to get it done before her birthday at the end of May. If I finish that early, I’m going to complete the gift that I’m making for my mom. It is more than half way done. I need to put in the effor to finish these gifts.
