I cannot believe that I forgot to update last week. Consistency is important with these things. I’m not living up to a regular schedule and I apologize. Especially since I’m posting less frequently.

I think every week is too much if you are only stitching on one thing. I’ll have more to post soon, but I’m a little off schedule. I’ve starting sleeping in and start my day later than usual. It is something that I need to fix.

I’ve worked on three projects since my last post. There are no finishes.

WIPs

Floral Dragon Meadow SAL

I am delighted that I fiinished the rose dragon. It took a long time to complete despite being smaller than the other dragons. I think it had more color changes because of the addition of all the floweres. I’m on a break from this piece because the next part is filling in the meadow bits. This seemed like a good place to stop.

Eleven Rabbits

I worked on this one a little bit. Completeing the thigh and foot of the dragon at the center. This project is a quick stitch as it is mostly blocks of one color. It also makes it boring sometimes. I’m also not sure if I have enough of the Gentle Arts Tomato Red to finish the project. The pattern reccomends one skein. I am a little nervous because I don’t like running out and waiting a week for more thread to arrive.

Gothic Bat

I know people are doing Jolly July right now. I didn’t want to start a new project. I’m doing Summerween instead. Working on a Halloween project during the summer. I picked up Gothic Bat again. It is my monochrome project which is white thread on Vampire Kiss fabric from BeStitchMe. The contrast is awesome and makes this pattern look spectacular.

Plans

Well, I broke several promises. I’m starting a SAL and I’m going up to eleven projects. I got notified that Sprouting Lupine was starting a SAL that features pinned insects. I do love to stitch a moth or beetle. And I was promised that there will be several beetles. That was enough for me to join in.

The plan is to reset my sleep schedule so that I’m up by 6 am. Make the SAL my focus morning stitch. Then roll in the afternoon to put at least 100 stitches in an outstanding WIP. I’m rolling a ten-sided die insteaed of temperature stitching. I play Dungeon & Dragons and always have dice near by.

The SAL starts July 30th with the first pattern. There is still time to join up!
